A systematic way to grow a remote company
"You're really shooting in the dark when you're doing marketing. You're running an experiment on society by running a campaign."
How do you approach your marketing strategies? With an empirical mindset, or a fully data-driven hypothesis? Irina Papuc is the co-founder of Galactic Fed, a digital agency that strikes a balance between extensive data research in marketing done by her team, and a deep understanding of human behavior and current culture. She also touches on how Galactic Fed has grown to over 100 people in less than three years by focusing on scaling 3 specific areas: communication, conflict resolution and acknowledgment.
Topics we explored:
- Three components of successful SEO
- Marketing as applied anthropology
- How Growth change at different scales
- Irina's growth principles (Reputation, True Fans, Initial Partners and an Edge)
- The origin and growth of GalacticFed

Co-founder & CEO
Sondre co-founded SafetyWing together with Sarah Sandnes and Hans Kjellby. Born in Bergen, Norway, he studied economics and computer science, before starting work as a policy advisor for the government of Norway advising on social policies. After getting frustrated with the slow pace of government change, Sondre first founded SuperSide (YC W16), a platform for freelance designers. It was here he discovered the lack of a safety net for online remote workers. SafetyWing was then born with the aim of building a global social safety net.
