Introducing Building Remotely

Welcome to your comprehensive guide to building a thriving remote company, Building Remotely. We are collecting knowledge from the world’s most successful remote leaders into podcast episodes, written articles and a physical book to ease the world into the next era of remote work.

Hello, and welcome to Building Remotely
My name is Sondre Rasch, I’m a founder and CEO at SafetyWing, an insurance for remote workers and companies. I’m excited to invite companies and entrepreneurs from around the world to participate in our comprehensive guide for building a thriving remote company.
For the past few years, remote work has been increasingly on the rise. More and more companies are finding out how remote work can fundamentally transform their companies and teams. With the COVID-19 pandemic, remote work moved from being a luxury to a necessity. Still, building (or pivoting into) a successful remote company isn’t easy. There is a shocking lack of resources for such a venture, and what information does exist is vague and unhelpful at best.
That’s why we created Building Remotely, a resource project consisting of a podcast, a blog and soon a book as well.  I’m looking forward to exploring the true potential of remote work, and I hope you’ll join us along the way!

About your hosts

Sondre Rasch

Co-founder & CEO
SafetyWing
Sondre co-founded SafetyWing together with Sarah Sandnes and Hans Kjellby. Born in Bergen, Norway, he studied economics and computer science, before starting work as a policy advisor for the government of Norway advising on social policies. After getting frustrated with the slow pace of government change, Sondre first founded SuperSide (YC W16), a platform for freelance designers. It was here he discovered the lack of a safety net for online remote workers. SafetyWing was then born with the aim of building a global social safety net.
